Primary Role:
The Technology Consultant is an outside sales position responsible for growing IT and AV sales in government and education markets in and around central Texas. The Technology Consultant is responsible for developing strong customer relationships, expanding the customer base, exceeding sales goals, and maintaining industry knowledge, certifications, and skills.

Responsibilities:
1. Service new and existing accounts to drive sales of AV and IT solutions
2. Generate new business to expand customer base
3. Provide timely and accurate responses to RFP’s and quote requests
4. Perform needs analysis, draft system requirements, and SOW’s
5. Follow up on leads and customer communications in a timely and effective manner
6. Track activities in CRM system and report to company management
7. Provide timely and accurate submittal of sales documents to internal/external customers
8. Resolve customer complaints by investigating problem; developing solutions and making recommendations to management
9. Acquire and maintain knowledge and certifications relevant to position and company objectives
10. Work with suppliers, manufacturers, rep firms, and other partners to leverage programs, promotions, and sales incentives
11. Other duties as assigned

Accountability:
The Technology Consultant will be accountable to the General Manager. Secondary accountability will be to the other management team members, employees and customers of the company.

Qualifications:
The Technology Consultant shall possess a four-year degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in business, marketing, engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the industry. A minimum of five years’ experience selling IT and/or AV solutions to government and education markets is required.

Travel:
Some travel required, however, overnight stays are infrequent.
